Spotted in NY
As a (damn) tourist I crossed the Manhattan bridge the other day, and sadly enough, one of the first things you notice is the ugliest and most depressing building of Manhattan with the ugliest logo of corporate America: Verizon. How does this building and logo relate to the mission statement?:
“As a leader in communications, Verizon’s mission is to enable people and businesses to communicate with each other. We are also committed to providing full and open communication with our customers, employees and investors.“
Where is the ‘leader’ in the logo and where is the ‘open communication’ in this building?
Although I’ve read on the Curbed weblog, the building will undergo a massive glassy renovation. I think the logo could use a serious renovation too.
It’s so ugly, I even forgot to take a picture of it, so this one is from Flickr. ;-)
